Synthesis and biological investigation of some bis(2-acyloxy or aroyloxybenzenethiolates)mercury(II) are reported. All organomercuric compounds tested antofungal actionb on six species of fusarium. The most sensitive fungi were F. tricinctum and F. sporotrichioides, followed by F. moniliforme and F. exysporum; the least sensitive were semitectum and F. aruanticum. The most active compounds were 1b and 1o that in some cases produced a 50% inhibition with a dose of 2-4microg/ml.
