Abstract

The aim of this work was to point out an histological method to observe morphological, histochemical and histoenzymatic changes in vegetative buds tissue of apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) during winter dormancy, to study the physiological mechanism involved in dormancy and budbreaking. The results show that the method is effetive to evidence variation of cell components, such as the decrease of starch and the enlargement of cells size.
