We observed higher faecal calprotectin levels in exclusively BF infants than in FF ones. This could be related to cytokines and other immunostimolating and growth factors present in human milk but not in commercial formulas. High calprotectin levels may represent the contribute of human milk to the development of infants' gastroenteric immune system.

Abstract
We observed higher faecal calprotectin levels in exclusively BF infants than in FF ones. This could be related to cytokines and other immunostimolating and growth factors present in human milk but not in commercial formulas. High calprotectin levels may represent the contribute of human milk to the development of infants' gastroenteric immune system.File in questo prodotto:
