The authors described gastric and intestinal lesions observed during 2005 years in n° 367 Nebrodi’s Black pigs ranging from 8 months to 4 years regularly slaughtered. 38.15% of the stomachs revealed parasitic lesions characterized by moderate to severe chronic catarrhal inflammations, granulomas and fibrinous or suppurative gastritis sometimes associated to erosions o mucosal ulcerae. Hypertrophic gastropathies and two cases of tuberculosis were also detected. Chronic enteritis, suppurative enteritis, parasitic granulomas and cystic pneumatosis were the most interesting lesions reported in the intestines.
