N° 137 brains of regularly slaughtered Black pigs were examined. N° 75 didn’t have any lesions, 45,25% of samples showed histological lesions. Inflammations were most frequent than degenerations. Perivascular cuffings, arteritis and meningeal flogosis were the most important observed lesions. Arteritis are probably caused by a reaction of the immune system to previous viral or bacterial infections. In n° 5 brains we found parasitic cyst without inflammation. The result of this preliminary study suggests to increase clinical and pathological surveillance to identify dangerous diseases for consumer and other animals.
