Abstract

- [Pleistocene terraces of Cape Verde Islands: a didactic suggestion of Museo Civico Craveri (Bra, NW Italy)] – A project of cooperation in Cape Verde Islands includes the collection of data and samples from the pleistocenic sedimentary formations widely exposed in many areas. Calcarenitic and conglomeratic levels include an abundant bioclastic fraction and some times well preserved mollusc assemblages. The palaeofaunas are examined from a palaeoecological point of view and compared with the recent assemblages accumulated in beach deposits, with the purpose of setting up an exhibition area of a local museum, dedicated to the history of benthic population during the Quaternary.
