Creating new manufacturing facilities in areas specifically designed for this purpose by town planning bodies is a pressing need in several realities of our country that, although being able to offer profitable economic opportunities locally, poses quite many problems of landscape impact and environmental quality of the selected sites. The objectives of this study, carried out within an agreement between the University of Turin and the Municipality of Asti, consist of identifying the suitable solutions to mitigate the impact of the new industrial complex in the site of Quarto near Asti, referring particularly to its visual interference, the maintenance of ecologically satisfying conditions, the aesthetic qualification of the areas surrounding the buildings and the improvement of comfort in the enclosed areas. This study case represents a reference point, useful for land management interventions that are careful both of productive needs and of landscape safeguard, thanks above all to an innovative use of vegetation. Such solutions seem, moreover, applicable also in landscape restoration interventions, wherever manufacturing facilities have been already built.

Abstract
Such solutions seem, moreover, applicable also in landscape restoration interventions, wherever manufacturing facilities have been already built.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
