The grape berry is a non-climacteric fruit, and ABA is a candidate for regulation of the ripening process. We applied 2-DE based proteomics to the study of ABA effects on grape berries. Results show an activation of several proteins involved in the ripening process. The total number of identified proteins was 22, mostly included in the metabolism and transport categories.

Abstract

The grape berry is a non-climacteric fruit, and ABA is a candidate for regulation of the ripening process. We applied 2-DE based proteomics to the study of ABA effects on grape berries. Results show an activation of several proteins involved in the ripening process. The total number of identified proteins was 22, mostly included in the metabolism and transport categories.
