In order to assess the benefits obtained by companies with ISO 14001 certification, a questionnaire was sent to a sample of certified Italian firms selected to provide a valid reflection of the overall situation in terms of geography and business sectors. From the responses received a global satisfaction index was drawn up based on the levels of importance and satisfaction expressed by each company for each aspect of the questionnaire.
