Acomodación de la traducción paremiológica de La Celestina en dos épocas: 1506 y 1995

In the present paper we deal with the difficulties at translating paremiological units in a literary work. We have used two Italian translations from different ages of La Celestina: 1506, and 1995. From this analysis we have became aware of the different procedures that both translators have used in order to accommodate the paremiological units to the text. We have noticed the 16th century translator proposes a literal translation, but missing the paremiological added value. On the other hand, in the most modern translation, we have detected the contrary tendency. Brichetti uses an Italian correspondence, where there is one, and avoids a literal translation; however, the translator does not always effect the intended sense of each paremiological unit, nor the irony in Roja's alterations.
