Abstract

The RING project aims at supporting active efforts of cooperation and collaboration, sharing own experiences and know-how first, among participants willing to strengthen and enrich the vocational training of caregivers and in particular of those formal and informal groups of migrant and less qualified caregivers. RING as a point of junction, a point to which make experiences converge, thus developing them in a circular way, as a clear sound drawing the attention on the need of proper training and dialogue on the issue. The action will deal with both practical and theoretical experiences of participation, involvement, support and training of carers focusing on psycho-education, self-help, empowerment and self-advocacy already developed in the fields of disability, mental health and of chronic invalidating diseases. Relying on what already stressed the local, national and European partners will undertake activities of cooperation and exchange on this issue in order to: - further promote the training of caregivers with more and more innovating training modules; - analyse the training aspect even under the point of view of supporting the creation and start-up of groups of self-help, taking into consideration the consequent logistic problems; - set up a joint and easy-to-share training programme completed by orientations that could spread more effectively among the operators; - reinforce the connection between training and improvement of life, wellness and labour conditions of caregivers as well as improvement of the help to people suffering from dementia; - work in the direction of social inclusion (social and economic inclusion of migrants); - realize a multimedia product for inclusion, focusing on the help-relation. The activities will proceed through a permanent confrontation, exploiting both remote talks (thanks to the website created on purpose) and transnational working meetings, and taking advantage of a common ground of shared (at an European level) concepts, surveys and impact indicators. It will allow to develop Ring-Kit: a support for Caregivers composed by help booklet, palliative treatment booklet, DVD) and implemented by a training form on role playing in care relations Ring-Kit will be a useful tool validated at European level and practicable in all the partnership’s contexts
