After presenting the Italian context, the report illustrates the analysis, based on qualitative interviews, of the care and work arrangements, together with the element that underpin conciliation and the effects on the working caregivers. The findings underline the key role played by market strategies – based on the recourse to privately paid migrant care workers – within the continuity of the traditional family care model.
