Our experiences show that water/ethylen glycol mixtures could be employed as "stabilizers" and dehydrating agents for small vertebrate and invertebrate samples and/or organ fragments. The technique has been employed to point out the effect of heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Cd, Zn) on the integument of Triturus, on tissues of fresh and salt water bivalve molluscs (Unio and Mytilus), on "in toto" of aquatic insect larvae (Culex, Chironomus) or in sections.

Abstract
Our experiences show that water/ethylen glycol mixtures could be employed as "stabilizers" and dehydrating agents for small vertebrate and invertebrate samples and/or organ fragments. The technique has been employed to point out the effect of heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Cd, Zn) on the integument of Triturus, on tissues of fresh and salt water bivalve molluscs (Unio and Mytilus), on "in toto" of aquatic insect larvae (Culex, Chironomus) or in sections.File in questo prodotto:
