New Challenges, New Goals For many, the Amsterdam Symposium needs no introduction. From its start in 1998 as a small symposium for dedicated experts to discuss menopause and the risks and benefits of hormone replacement therapy, the AMS has evolved to a well-known forum where doctors can meet with international experts to discuss and critically review the newestscientific developments related to the wide area of women's health. At the 6th AMS the discussion on principles and practice of gender-specific medicine will be further expanded. The Amsterdam Symposium will offer an intense and well-established programme to both experts and professionals: plenary sessions in the morning, followed in the afternoon by smaller parallel sessions with keynote speakers, intimate meet-the-professor sessions, satellite symposia, workshops and poster sessions for all participants. Highly informative sponsored symposia are held during the lunch hours and in the afternoon. The discussion will focus on optimal management of women's health, as adapted to individual women's needs; critical assessment of individual risks and benefits of HTand its alternatives; female sexuality and aging; quality of life, lifestyle and healthy aging. Just like the first five highly successful meetings, the 6th AMS will also aim to translate "progress in Women's Health Science" into "down-to-earth clinical practice". For the first time, special parts of the programme will be held in Spanish, French and Italian. EACCME accreditation will be obtained from UEMS as before. Please make a note of the date. Abstract

We hope to see you again in Amsterdam.
