Analisi fattoriale per le scienze sociali

This book, written by two social scientists, is addressed to students, especially of master degrees and phd courses, but also to researchers who are beginners in the use of this technique. We first tried to make understandable the potential of the Factor Analysis and some problems typically encountered when one explores the world of the latent variables, i.e. property that can not be observed directly; the required precision and a certain degree of formalization are therefore guaranteed. The theoretical part is complemented by an application example in social research and some samples of commands and instructions for a widespread statistical package.
