A recently recognized complication of Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGBP) is postprandial hypo- glycaemia, which can occur with a broad range of severity from relatively mild ‘dumping syndrome’ cases, easily managed via dietary modification and with no neuroglycopenic symptoms, to patients with severe, refractory postprandial hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia associated with neuroglycopenic symptoms.
