This paper presents the University Theatre experience of a group of Italian students of Spanish. The project is based on works by Mexican poet and writer Octavio Paz, with particular reference to the Labyrinth of Solitude, and describes how participants approached Mexican culture and the transformation of poetry and prose into a dramatic text for the stage.
