The ProGEO-Piemonte project of research and dissemination of knowledge on geoheritage aims to bring the population to perceive the multiplicity of values related to the geological nature of its territory: from the discovery of the beauty and wonder of the geological conditions to the recognition of their uniqueness and scientific reach. The aesthetic and emotional involvement can develop a sense of belonging and a feeling of ethical obligation to protect geosites. The results are actions devoted to a respectful and sustainable use, that allows together development and conservation.
