Abstract
Among the activities carried out in Torino related to archaeometry, diagnostics and conservation of Cultural Heritage, the neu ART regional project (collaboration among INFN-Torino, Physics Department of the University of Torino and the Center for Conservation and Restoration La Venaria Reale) developed a system to perform X-ray radiography and tomography of large artworks. The system, based on a linear detector, was designed to help restorers in their work: in fact it allows to obtain information about the state of conservation, the constructive technique, previous interventions, etc. The performance of the system and some case studies will be presented.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
