Perilla frutescens, a medicinal and edible plant of Asian origin well known because of its several medicinal properties, was recently introduced in Italy. Piedmont (northwestern Italy) crops were analyzed from the point of view of bees and other pollinators. The bee was a very assiduous pollinator, especially for collecting nectar. Surveys allowed to detect the farming practices used for this crop and the crop profitability.
