The goal to build inorganic coordination polymers can be achieved by a strategic control of both metal and ligand employed. Cyanide and thiocyanate ligands are very versatile because of their ambidentate nature and the presence of coordinating elements of different hardness can permit the cross-link among the metals. This possibility has been explored with two d10 metals, Ag+ and Pb2+ and both CN- and SCN2- ligands. This choice his due to the interesting luminescence properties usually found with d10 polinuclear metal complexes . The compound has been prepared by reacting lead(II) thiocyanide with potassium dicyanoargentate.

Abstract
The goal to build inorganic coordination polymers can be achieved by a strategic control of both metal and ligand employed. Cyanide and thiocyanate ligands are very versatile because of their ambidentate nature and the presence of coordinating elements of different hardness can permit the cross-link among the metals. This possibility has been explored with two d10 metals, Ag+ and Pb2+ and both CN- and SCN2- ligands. This choice his due to the interesting luminescence properties usually found with d10 polinuclear metal complexes . The compound has been prepared by reacting lead(II) thiocyanide with potassium dicyanoargentate.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
