Phenology and host-plant selection of nymph stages and adults of Philaenus spumarius were carried out in six vineyards of the Piemonte Region of Italy. Beginning and end of development of nymphs and adults, and their relative peaks of abundance, showed similar trends in the period 2016-2017. Nymphal stages of P. spumarius showed a host-plant preference for species in the Asteraceae family; while adults of P. spumarius preferred Quercus species among woody plants.

Beginning and end of development of nymphs and adults, and their relative peaks of abundance, showed similar trends in the period 2016-2017. Nymphal stages of P. spumarius showed a host-plant preference for species in the Asteraceae family; while adults of P. spumarius preferred Quercus species among woody plants.File in questo prodotto:
