In this paper we describe a lot-by-lot sampling inspection system which implies the switching, according to a specific rule, between “normal” and “tightened” single sampling plans and the suspension of the inspection as soon as the event E:2 refused lot out of k or less inspected lots occurs. Of such a system, viewed as an ergodic Markov chain, the mean waiting time for a suspension (ARL) and the mean sampling number (ASN) are derived and analysed. Furthermore a simple classification, in terms of Operative Ratio, of the system is suggested.

Abstract
In this paper we describe a lot-by-lot sampling inspection system which implies the switching, according to a specific rule, between “normal” and “tightened” single sampling plans and the suspension of the inspection as soon as the event E:2 refused lot out of k or less inspected lots occurs. Of such a system, viewed as an ergodic Markov chain, the mean waiting time for a suspension (ARL) and the mean sampling number (ASN) are derived and analysed. Furthermore a simple classification, in terms of Operative Ratio, of the system is suggested.File in questo prodotto:
