Abstract

Pet dogs are continuously exposed to human speech since their early days. In the last few years, speech processing in dog brains has started to be investigated with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). By means of this technique, recently we found evidence for a language discrimination ability in secondary auditory regions in dogs.
