Objectives This retrospective observational case series describes a population with complicated gram-positive infections treated with oritavancin as part of a highly individualized strategy. Design/Methods We conducted a retrospective observational case series of 10 patients with complicated gram-positive infections treated with oritavancin at a tertiary care center. Results Most patients had multiple comorbidities and previous antibiotic toxicities. Oritavancin was well tolerated, with no reported adverse events. All patients achieved clinical cure, and no relapses were observed during a follow-up of up to 24 months. Conclusions These findings suggest it may serve as an effective medical alternative to source control in frail, difficult-to-treat populations.
