Humans spend most of their time interacting with other people. My colleagues and I have conducted a program of research aimed at better understanding the motor organization which subtends these interactions. This talk will review our recent research. Among the topics to be covered are: the effects of social context on action planning, the influence of others’ actions, and the organization subtending other-directed movements in twin foetuses.

Abstract

Humans spend most of their time interacting with other people. My colleagues and I have conducted a program of research aimed at better understanding the motor organization which subtends these interactions. This talk will review our recent research.
