The video shows the intraoperative management of anastomotic complications during laparoscopic colorectal surgery. Case 1 demonstrates a complete opening of the distal rectal stump after firing the endoscopic stapler after total mesorectal excision. Case 2 represents a twist of the proximal colon before colo-rectal anastomosis, managed by reopening of the stapler before firing. Case 3 shows the event of air leakage after completion of colo-rectal anastomosis, treated by further resection and reanastomosis. Case 4. demonstrates the risk of occurrence of an internal hernia under the distal colon proximal to the colo-rectal anastomosis, prevented by accurate repositioning of the small bowel.

Abstract
The video shows the intraoperative management of anastomotic complications during laparoscopic colorectal surgery. Case 1 demonstrates a complete opening of the distal rectal stump after firing the endoscopic stapler after total mesorectal excision. Case 2 represents a twist of the proximal colon before colo-rectal anastomosis, managed by reopening of the stapler before firing. Case 3 shows the event of air leakage after completion of colo-rectal anastomosis, treated by further resection and reanastomosis. Case 4. demonstrates the risk of occurrence of an internal hernia under the distal colon proximal to the colo-rectal anastomosis, prevented by accurate repositioning of the small bowel.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
