Studio sull’eziopatogenesi della distrofia lipomatosa del bovino piemontese : risultati preliminari.

The aim of the research is to study the pathogenesis of lipomatous muscle hypertrophy in Piedmontese cattle. The authors collected 20 pathological samples from animals slaughtered by the association “La Granda”. Muscle specimens have been frozen and submitted to histological and enzymatic investigations. Meat quality and tree genealogy of the animals were also evaluated. In a next step the authors are delving into genetic factors as vascular and deficiency causes seem can be excluded in pathogenesis
